Student fees – Nurses and Midwives

A new semester is about to start so the university fees are due. FONSA has just sent $5,300 to An Najah National University for two nursing students and two student midwives. All the midwives are in their first year of training with the nurses in their 2nd and 3rd year. We monitor their progress to […]

Progress

FONSA has been growing and this website has been progressing well. There is now a good-enough home page with several individual pages arising. Next I will include a blog-style facility to add news items and create all the necessary static pages so that the site can go live.

Tree planting Feb 2020

FONSA has planted 200 trees in Huwara and Beita. These villages are to the south of Nablus in an area which faces continuous difficulties with several nearby illegal Israeli settlements. The trees are designed to help the village by making use of the land, providing food and income. Please donate so we can plant even […]

Website dev slow but FONSA doing well

I’ve not managed to do as much as I hoped with the website but FONSA is making good progress. Our recent growth in monthly standing orders is giving us an opportunity to fund even more projects in and around Nablus. Please see our current website fonsa.org.uk for full information. We welcome donations to FONSA at […]

More tree planting

It is now the wet season so we can plant more olive trees.  Next step is to seek appropriate villages which need trees and have suitable spaces to plant them.  We want the farmers to be willing to become partners with us so that they will tend the trees and make use of them.

New web site (in progress)

[Test post] We are updating our web site, moving to WordPress and to 34SP as hosts. It’s all going pretty well so far but there is a lot to do

Kiltwalk 2018

[Test post] Five members of the Dundee-Nablus Twinning Association walked for FONSA on the Dundee Kiltwalk 2018. A pleasant stroll round the beautiful Tay. The Kiltwalk Foundation adds 40% to funds raised bringing almost £2,500 for FONSA. Congratulations! This will support students, children and other FONSA projects in and around Nablus.
